The problems what came to the picture: Stereo at age of 4 years/had to send back to factory and renewed. It was modified up to 95CID. (factory type) Since that time I cannot use normal gas I have to go for the 100 Octan (I live in Europe)... . It means that the compression ratio is (too) high. By Brad(Owner), Feb. 21, 2018 I had a 1984 low rider that was more comfortable to ride than my Ultra. Yes the bike (ultra)is bigger and nicer riding but the stock seat is terrible. I constantly get a cramp or sore muscles in my inside top of legs that pull hard on my muscles. I have to get off every hour with some pain. After ow... ning the bike for 10 years I decided to get the seat recovered buy my wife (who does professional marine seat covers). To our surprise I could not believe the 2 humps in the plastic where the thin part of the foam rides on. This is what has been biting into the top inside of my legs. What a terrible design by Harley. My Ride......
Problems but fun
Nothing serious was replaced in the first 60000 miles (brak pad, oil, tyre)
What had to be replaced nowadays: primary chain, sprockets, belt and its sprockets, the overall clutch, All the bushing in gears, all the seals in motor.
Passenger seat heating does not work in 2nd (only in 1st)
Otherwise no problem even during Ironbutt tours. I love it and use it dialy base.
